CCTV CAMERA SYSTEMS & ACCESSORIES
Closed-circuit television CCTV is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. It differs from broadcast television in that the signal is not openly transmitted, though it may employ point-to-point wired or wireless links.

CCTV is often used for surveillance in areas that may need monitoring such as banks, casinos, airports, military installations, and convenience stores.

CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) has become accepted in our day-to-day lives as a very useful tool for the protection of people and assets. With security awareness at an all-time high, business and security managers are now, more than ever, turning to CCTV to protect their valuable staff and assets. CCTV is now within financial reach of both small and large businesses; systems can be designed to suit all applications, from small retailers to high-level security compounds.

More and more organizations recognize the value of CCTV as an everyday aid to:
• Deter Crime against people or assets
• Provide visual evidence in the event of a crime being committed
• Increase Staff Productivity
• Increase business efficiency
• Assist in the review of occupational health & safety issues.

Generally, a CCTV System is composed of a combination of the following products:

Cameras
Cameras are used to view the area targeted for protection. Specific Cameras and lens types are selected, depending on the environmental circumstances.

Day/Night Cameras
Day/Night Cameras ensure the highest image quality possible at any time. Depending on the available light the camera will
automatically switch from color to monochrome.

IP Cameras
IP cameras are Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras that use Internet Protocol to transmit image data and control signals over a Fast Ethernet link. As such, IP cameras are also commonly referred to as network cameras. IP cameras are primarily used for surveillance in the same manner as analog closed-circuit television. Several IP cameras are normally deployed together with a digital video recorder (DVR) or a network video recorder (NVR) to form a video surveillance system.

Mini Dome Cameras
Are better suited for use indoors, where the light is constant and the viewing distance is between 10 to 20m. The aesthetically pleasing appearance of mini-dome cameras is also appealing in environments where a less obtrusive approach is required.

Recording Equipment
Recording Equipment is used to document evidence or proof as to “What” happened and “when” it happened.

Monitors
Monitors display the camera picture in various configurations, depending on the Multiplexer, Quad Splitter, or Switcher used.
